Chapter 29- 34

What is Linda’s experience of the North? Is it what she had hoped for? Think particularly about the train ride.
Linda escapes from her hideout and takes a boat to the north. Linda is somewhat excited about this in the beginning because she thinks that she will be treated differently in the North. She is later upset because she find out that the North is still very bad about slavery, if not worse because they believe that they don't have slavery. Linda is still excited because she knows that it will be better than where she used to live. Linda has been a slave her entire life so it will be more than great for Linda to experience a live not as a slave.
