reaction to Gatsby's funeral

Not very many people Gatsby was "friends" with came to his funeral. Many reporters and news people came. Gatsby's father game because he was always proud of him. Owl Eyes came to the funeral because I think he thought that Gatsby was trying to always better himself. I think that this is trying to show us that Gatsby always invested in people with no depth. F. Scott Fitzgerald tells us that Gatsby put his faith in people who don't truly care about him, this comes out when we see how many little people come to his funeral. All the wealthy people, such as Daisy, didn't care about Gatsby any more and went on with their lives.
