Chapter 19- 21

What do you make of the Duke and the King? Is it wise for Huck and Jim to go along with them?
The Duke and the King make up who they are so that they can trick Huck and Jim. Huck knows all along that they are con artists but follow along with their stories. They find out at the camp-meeting that they truly are con artists. I think that it is wise for Huck to go along with the Duke and the King because it protects them from danger. Huck doesn't want to pick a fight by telling them that he doesn't believe that they are not royalty. However, the men are somewhat dangerous and it would be hard for them to trust them when you know that they are never telling the truth. But Huck goes along with it just because he doesn't want to harm Jim or himself, and I believe that is good. If he didn't go along with it the Duke and the King might have picked a fight or become very upset and Huck and Jim.
